Saudi Arabia has announced significant new oil deposits discovery in the Eastern Province and the Empty Quarter. The discoveries include two unconventional oil fields and a reservoir of Arabian light oil in the Eastern Province, with Al-Damm field producing 5100 barrels per day (bpd) of very light Arabian oil and significant gas volumes.
Additionally, Al-Farouk field in the same region yielded 4557 bpd of similar oil, bolstering Saudi Aramco‘s global energy standing.
In parallel, new natural gas findings include Al-Jehq field in the Rub’ al Khali, which saw daily production from Al-Jehq-1 well at 5.3 million standard cubic feet, and Al-Kutuf field yielding 7.6 million standard cubic feet per day, alongside condensates.
