South Korea’s exports continued to grow for the 12th consecutive month, driven by strong demand for locally-made semiconductors and automobiles. In September, exports reached $58.77 billion, up 7.5 per cent from the previous year.
Imports also increased by 2.2 per cent to 52.12 billion dollars, resulting in a trade surplus of $6.65 billion. This marks the 16th consecutive month of a positive trade balance since June last year.
