Italy’s Saipem secures $3.7b Angola contracts

Italian energy industry services company Saipem has secured contracts worth $3.7 billion with a subsidiary of TotalEnergies to undertake works on Angola’s Kaminho offshore project, as per the company’s announcement cited by Reuters on Thursday.

These contracts, awarded by TotalEnergies EP Angola Block 20, pertain to the development of the Cameia and Golfinho oilfields, situated approximately 100km off the coast of Angola.

According to Saipem’s statement, these contracts serve as a testament to the competitiveness of its integrated business model and its ability to deliver offshore and plant project management and engineering services.

Last week, Reuters reported that Saipem disclosed its winning of an $850 million offshore contract from Azule Energy, a joint venture between Eni and BP, for the development of the Ndungu Field off the coast of Angola.
