Samco calls for boosting Egypt local construction export to African markets

Sameh Soliman, chairman of Egypt’s Samco-National Construction Company said on Monday that exporting local construction to African countries is now more important than ever before.

Speaking at the seventh edition of Builders of Egypt Forum, Soliman said that Egypt currently focuses on exporting raw materials, products, and labour in the construction sector. However, he said: “right now, exporting local construction is more important than exporting raw materials, products, and labour,”

Several infrastructure, road, and transport projects in Egypt are witnessing a huge leap in the accomplishment rates compared to counterparts in African countries, he added. This has positively affected the Egyptian companies’ performance and competitiveness.
