Egyptian Metro announced through its internal radio Saturday that all first-line trains that travel from Marg to Helwan will not be stopping in Saray Al-Qobba station in east Cairo for the day.
Ali Fadali, head of the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operations, said that the closing of the station followed instructions by the interior ministry citing security reasons.
Fadali said the station might resume work again by the end of the day.
