Saudi investments in Egypt posts $125.5 mln in Q2 2018/19

The Saudi net investments in Egypt grew by 44.1 percent to reach $125.5 million in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2018/19, up from $87.1 million in the same period of the previous year.

In a statement, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that the Egyptian exports to Saudi Arabia rose by 14.4 percent to hit $276.7 million in January and February 2019, up from $241.9 million during the same two months in 2018.

In the meantime, Egyptian imports from Saudi Arabia decreased by 9.5 percent, in January and February 2019, down from $1 billion during the same period in 2018.

The report also stated that the Egyptian-Saudi trade exchange dropped 7.7 percent to $1.2 billion in January and February 2019, compared to $1.3 billion in the same period in 2018.
