SCA’s President: Saudi construction sector size exceeds SAR 255bln

Zakaria Al-Abdul Qader, president of the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) said on Sunday that the contracting sector’s size in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exceeds 255 Ryal Saudi, accounting six percent of domestic product.

During an opening speech at the eighth session of the Builders of Egypt Forum, launched on Sunday under the auspices of Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly that the SCA aims to help achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.

Al-Abdul Qader further added that the contracting sector is one of the most important enablers of vision as the executive arm of construction, operation, maintenance and service projects in all target sectors.

The construction sector also contributes in the implementation of major strategic projects overseen by the Saudi’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) such as NEOM, The Line, Amaala, and others, he concluded.
