Sisi appoints Mohamed Abdel Fattah Abu Bakr as head of Arab Organisation for Industrialisation

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has appointed Mohamed Abdel Fattah Mohamed Abu Bakr as chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) for a one-year term effective Wednesday, the presidency said.

The appointment was made under a presidential decree issued on Wednesday, according to the official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency.

The AOI, established in 1975, operates a number of industrial companies in Egypt and is involved in the manufacture of defence, civilian, and infrastructure-related products.
