Sisi receives high-level delegation from U.S. Congress

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received on Wednesday a high-level delegation from the Democratic and Republican parties in the U.S. Congress, according to Ahmed Fahmy, the Presidential Spokesperson.

The meeting stressed the strength of the decades-old strategic partnership between the two counties, Fahmy added. They also tackle the developments on the regional scene and the crises the region is going through, especially in Sudan, Libya and Syria.

The delegation includes Senator Lindsey Graham, a member of the Senate, Senator Robert Menendez, chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and a number of officials in the House of Representatives, in the presence of Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry.
