Sisi urges Russia to execute its projects in Egypt ‘as soon as possible’

Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi urged Russia to execute the agreed upon projects as soon as possible, Egypt’s trade minister Tarek Qabil stated Tuesday.

Al-Sisi made these remarks during his meeting with the Russian delegation headed by Trade Minister Denis Manturov.

Qabil said during a press conference held today that the government is currently studying accelerating the execution processes of those projects.

During the meeting, the president has discussed all fields in trade, industry, aviation sectors with the Russian side. Additionally, the two sides have reviewed the set-to-be-established Russian industrial zone and a number of projects that are set to be executed inside it, the minister said.

Qabil clarified that Egypt and Russia have signed the first project that will be established in the industrial zone during the meeting.

President al-Sisi has agreed with Manturov on how to accelerate execution processes of the signed projects.
