Spain’s inflation dips in August

Spain’s annual EU- harmonised Consumer Price Index (HICP) fell to 2.4 per cent in August, from 2.9 per cent in July.

The national Consumer Price Index (CPI) for August also fell to 2.2 per cent, from 2.8 per cent in July. Core inflation, excluding volatile fresh food and energy prices, decreased to 2.7 per cent year-on-year, down from 2.8 per cent in the period leading up to July.
