Spotify has made a small concession in its ongoing dispute with Apple over App Store rules. The music streaming giant will now display pricing information within its iOS app for EU users, following a three-month standoff.
However, Spotify has refused to include external payment links, maintaining its opposition to Apple’s commission fees. Despite this compromise, the company remains critical of Apple’s App Store policies, arguing that they hinder user experience.
This development comes after the EU imposed a hefty fine of 1.84 billion euros ($2 billion) on Apple for anti-competitive behaviour related to its App Store. While the tech giant has made some concessions, Spotify contends that more changes are needed to create a fair marketplace for app developers.
