Tarek Amer Resigns From NBE

Tarek Amer, chairman of the National Bank of Egypt, has submitted his resignation on Monday to the responsible authorities.

Amer, who also chairs the Federation of Egyptian Banks, sent a thank-you letter to the bank’s employees, commending their efforts and wishing them success. Amer is slated to submit his resignation to the Central Bank of Egypt soon.

It is worth noting that Hisham Ramez has been recently named the Governor of CBE, following Farouk El-OKdah, and will assume the position’s responsibilities by the beginning of next month.
