TE Refutes Reaching Final Deal to Provide Mobile Phone Services

Telecom Egypt (TE) (ETAL -CA) – the country’s landline monopoly  denied media reports about reaching a final agreement in order to provide mobile phone service, in addition what was also said concerning 6% obtained by National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA)  from the total value of TE.

It is worth mentioning that Telecom Egypt is 80% owned by the Egyptian government as it is the only company which provides fixed phone services in Egypt and it seeks to provide mobile phone services through the new ‘Integrated Operator License’ service.
