Telecom Egypt Employees Organize Protests

Telecom Egypt employees claim that they will organize a protest to call for the allowance arrears, a value of 15% decided for the public and private sectors.

The employees, on their Facebook page, said the company didn’t ignored to give them the allowance; referring that the company’s board is tricking them through joining the allowance of government to the periodic allowance.

They added that the employees are making phones calls to provided cars, in order to transmit them to join the protest in front of Ramsis Central next month.

At the beginning of this month, Telecom Egypt employees organized protests in front of the cabinet; calling for purging the company and penalizing its board, headed by Eng. Akil Beshir, as well Dr Amr Badawi, CEO of National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA).

Scores of protesters assured that their protest was for purging the national company.
