Arab Steel Summit kicks off Tuesday in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh

The Arab Iron and Steel Union (AISU) is to hold Tuesday its 2015 conference titled “The Arab Steel Summit 2015” in the Egyptian resort, Sharm El-Sheikh.

Mohamed Lachgar, AISU General Secretary, said the summit would witness the participation of 20 Arab and foreign countries and delegations representing World Steel Association, in addition to heads of 500 international steel and technology firms.

The event will discuss the development strategies of Arab steel industry under competitive regional stances in addition to trends and opportunities in steel industry as well as procedures required to support the steel industry in the Arab region.

“The International Iron and Steel Exhibition 2015” will include numbers of sessions that will discuss steel industry growth, means of investing in such strategic industry, steel market conditions in the Arab Countries, and the effect of increasing natural gas prices on steel manufacturing.

Furthermore, its activities would act as a favorable environment for the companies to exhibit their iron and steel products or the innovations and latest technological solutions which help to develop the productivity of the iron and steel industry, in addition to its being the appropriate place for the meeting of producers with the firms and companies active in the field of the iron and steel trade.
