TikTok targets $20 bln in e-commerce business in 2023

ByteDance-owned TikTok seeks more than quadruple the size of its worldwide e-commerce operations to $20 billion in merchandise sales in 2023, relying on growth in Southeast Asia, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday.

TikTok’s e-commerce platform lets customers purchase goods through links on the app during live broadcasts, the report mentioned, adding the company is betting on markets such as Indonesia to raise its merchandise value.
