Titan Cement: Egypt needs 1 million homes a year for growing population

Egypt needs to build around one million housing units per year to accommodate the steady growth in population, said Medhat Stefanos, vice chairman of Titan Cement Egypt, on Thursday.

Due to its vastness, development in the Egyptian desert has to be horizontal not vertical, to create more opportunities for new residential cities and jobs, Stefanos further said in a panel during Cityscape Egypt Conference.
