The number of tourists that arrived to Egypt has reached its lowest levels since December 2015, recording 440,000 tourists opposed to 559,000 tourists in November 2015.
According to a report released by Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Tuesday, the average of tourists accommodation rate has been declined to 6.2 percent from 7.4 percent in November 2015.
The report showed that the number of European tourists who arrived to Egypt hit 232,000 during December 2015 versus 383,000 in November 2015. Meanwhile, the number of tourists arriving from the Middle East has been boosted, registering 116,000 opposed to 95,000 a month earlier.
The rate of African arrivals remained with no changes during December as it reached 32,000 while the number of arrivals of Latin America recorded 25,000 tourists in December 2015 compared to 19,000 in November 2015.
The report added that the number of Asian arrivals rose to 34,000 in December 2015 versus 28,000 in November 2015.
