Trade exchange with Kuwait hit $234m end-July; Egypt’s Qabil says

The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Kuwait recorded US$234.4 million during the first seven months of 2016, Egyptian Trade Minister Tarek Qabil stated Monday.

During his meeting with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Saleh, Minister Qabil showcased latest situations related to joint economic cooperation in addition to mutual trade exchange and investments between Egypt and Kuwait.

The minister announced that a Kuwaiti business mission is scheduled to visit Egypt at the beginning of November to discuss boosting Egyptian-Kuwaiti economic ties.

He pointed out that the Egyptian-Kuwaiti business forum would be held at the end of December in Sharm El Sheikh under the patronage of Egyptian and Kuwaiti governments.

The forum targets raising rates of intra-trade and joint investments between Egypt and Kuwait within the upcoming period, the minister clarified.

Egyptian and Kuwaiti investors have large investment opportunities in both states  notably in fields related to Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Qabil said.
