Trade ministry eyes more logistics centres to facilitate exporting Egyptian products

The top priority of Egyptian trade ministry is to expand in establishing logistics centres in different cities and industrial zones to create more storage, shipping, and distribution outlets for all industrial products.

Minister Tarek Qabil stated Monday that building logistics centres would participate in encouraging consumer to buy local products as they would be a direct selling outlets. In addition, those centres would facilitate the process of shipping and exporting local products to foreign markets, he added.

On other side, minister Qabil reviewed Monday the latest logistics centre whose total investments estimated at 250 million Egyptian pounds.

The minister also reviewed two factories for home appliances ; the first one for manufacturing refrigerators and stoves with investments worth 51 million pounds. It provides 1,500 job opportunities.

Meanwhile, the second factory is for manufacturing washing machines with investments estimated at one billion pounds . It creates 900 direct job opportunities.
