Tunisia’s automotive sector contributes 50% of exports: TAA

Tunisia’s automotive sector contributes about 50 percent of the country’s exports, said Myriam ELLOUMI, Vice President of the Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA), on Saturday.

Alloumi said the that about 80 percent of the Tunisian automotive industry has been exported to the European country including France, Italy and Romania.

She added that Tunisia is one of the top three automotive components manufacturers that has started assembly operations since 1965.

Her remark came during the third edition of Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2023) hosted by Egypt from November 9th-15th.
