Afreximbank: boosting domestic manufacturing offers $500bln revenues in Africa

Helen Brume, Director of Project and Asset Based Finance at African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), appraised the importance of the local manufacturing to create more jobs and provide $500million in economic returns to African countries.

Brume stated on Saturday at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2023) that the continent’s natural resources is important for increasing the revenue earnings of African countries through resource exploitation.

Africa contains seven percent of the world’s gas which contributing the GDP of 70 percent, Brume added. She added that Congo helping in manufacture lithium car batteries, which reflects the need to exploit mineral resources within the continent.
