Türkiye sends 2 more planes of aid to Gaza

Türkiye sent two cargo planes of aid to Egypt on Monday to be sent to Gaza, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.

The minister said that two more aircraft will be sent with more supplies.

In early October, Türkiye sent three aircrafts with aid for Gaza, as well as a medical team and supplies on Sunday.

Koca also said that Ankara was ready to treat wounded Palestinians in Türkiye, if needed, as well as set up field hospital at Egypt’s El Arish Airport and Rafah border crossing.

In a post on X, the minister said the planes carried medicine, generators, medical supplies, incubators for babies, phototherapy machinery, diapers, and baby food.

They also carried emergency response equipment, operating tables, ventilators, ultrasound machines and orthopaedic supplies for injured civilians.

Up until this point, three aid convoys entered Gaza from Rafah, carrying a fraction of the amount UN officials say is needed to meet the essential needs of Gaza.
