The seventh session of the Egyptian Exhibition of Plastic Exporters and Manufacturers (EGYPLAST) and international trade fair Plastex will take place in Cairo on January 18.
Plastex, which is dedicated to the plastic machinery, components, raw materials, and chemicals in Africa, and its sub-event EGYPLAST present products, services, technologies, innovations, trends, and tendencies for trade markets. They represent an international meeting-place for worldwide suppliers and regional manufacturers.
EGYPLAST is a forum that provides an opportunity for the plastic producers to explore recent technological improvements for a variety of machinery, raw materials, additives, processing and recycling to improve functionality and add value to the companies.
The two fairs are to be launched under the auspices of Egypt’s Industry and Trade Ministry, said Khaled Abu El Makarem, chairman at the county’s Chemical Export Council (CEC), on Wednesday.
A number of Egyptian major plastic factories are set to partake in the event, Abu El Makarem further stated, adding that this will be a good chance to market local products for businessmen and manufacturers from Africa and the Arab world.
Egypt’s plastic exports rose 26 percent, reaching $1.323 billion in the first 11 months of 2017, Abu El Makarem said, expecting the number will increase by 28 percent this year.
