U.S. stocks jump to start new month positively

U.S. stocks has rallied on Monday to start the new month and quarter positively, while Treasury returns shed from levels not seen in roughly a decade.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) advanced by 2.66 percent to reach 29,490.89 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 239.82 points, or 2.27 percent to 10,815.43.

The U.S. S&P500 increased by 2.59 percent to settle at 3,678.43 and Russell 2000 index added 44.15 points to record 1,708.87.

Toronto stock exchange – TSX COMP rose by 2.37 percent to end at the level 18,881.19 and S&P/TSX 60 index gained 2.25 percent to 1,142.23.
