UK’s PM to meet Joe Biden individually before Queen’s funeral – report

British Prime Minister Liz Truss is likely to have individual talks with U.S. President Joe Biden and other world leaders gathered in London before Queen Elizabeth‘s funeral on Monday, The Times newspaper reported on Thursday.

The Foreign Office and Downing Street assured that the event would not be used as a diplomatic exercise regardless the entity of more than 100 state’s heads in order to show respect, according to the report.

The meeting will be based on their respects towards each other and would be quiet, the sources mentioned.

The newspaper’s report added that Truss may also meet France’s President Emmanuel Macron, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Canada’s Justin Trudeau.

Noteworthy, that Queen Elizabeth’s funeral will take place in London on September 19, and a host of world leaders, royalty and other dignitaries have already said they will attend.
