The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) signed a new five-year project agreement to bring financing opportunities and mentorship into Egypt’s tech sector.
The new project aims to accelerate digital innovation and growth of the country’s tech-driven startup ecosystem, according to a statement on Wednesday.
This partnership will unleash the potential of ITIDA’s ever-growing startup community, creating opportunities for sustainable development, said ITIDA CEO Ahmed El-Zaher at the launch event.
The new project, called “Maturation of ICT-enabled Innovation-driven Entrepreneurship Ecosystem”, aims to help Egypt maintain its leadership in digital innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
