The United Bank’s branch in Egypt’s Nile Delta city of Mansoura in Dakahlia province has been fully destroyed due to the car bomb that targeted the Dakahlia Security Directorate early on Tuesday.
The powerful explosion has killed 12 people alongside more than 100 were wounded.
In a statement released later on Tuesday, the United Bank has denounced the violent attack which rocked the security compound and the bank’s branch, saying the premise was fully destroyed and a number of the bank’s security personnel were injured.
The bank added that it had started activating an emergency plan which includes the continuation of providing the banking services for its clients. Accordingly, the bank will be providing its banking services through an alternative branch located in 241 Al-Gomhuria street – Al-Mokhtalat district – Dakahlia.
