Upper Egypt’s Trains Lines Suspended Over Victims’ Families Protest

The movements of Upper Egypt’s trains were suspended due to the protests in El Badrasheen; calling for the rights of the martyrs.

Sources in Egyptian National Railways, said the movement of the trains halted again; referring that the number of the suspended trains since the accident took place reached 10 ones.

Ramses Station is refunding the tickets to the passengers till the trains movements start working. There isn’t an alternative track for Upper Egypt line, so the Ministry of Interior has to respond to the families’ demands; the sources added.

At least 19 were killed and 100 injured after an Egyptian military train carriage derailed in the early hours of Tuesday in the Giza town of Badrashin, the latest in a series of train accidents during the past few months.
