URGENT: Egypt’s remittances 28.1% y/y up in first 7 months of 2026 – CBE

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad surged 28.1 per cent year-on-year to $29.7 billion in the first seven months of 2026, the central bank said on Monday.

Remittances stood at $23.2 billion during the January–July 2025 period.

In July 2026, remittances continued their upward trend, rising by 20.0 per cent year-on-year to $4.5 billion from $3.8 billion in July 2025.
