US Congress Delegation arrives in Egypt

A U.S. Congress delegation arrived in Cairo Saturday for talks with Egyptian officials.

The delegation is expected to hold talks with Egyptian officials on bilateral relations and developments in Egypt, particularly preparations for next week’s economic conference, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.

The conference is scheduled to be held on March 13 in the resort city of Sharm al-Sheikh in an effort by the Egyptian government to lure investments to shore up Egypt’s economy.

Some 60 countries are expected to take part in the event.
