Egypt: Flight Tickets to Economic Summit down by 25%

Egypt’s civil aviation minister Hossam Kamal has announced on Friday the reduction of ticket price of flights to Sharm El-Sheikh by 25 percent during the period of the economic conference planned in mid-March. There will be additional flights to Sharm El-Sheikh, during the economic conference, and the number of flights will reach 25 per day, Kamal said.

About 3,000 airline tickets have been booked to Sharm El-Sheikh so far, Kamal added.

The ministry has prepared three additional airports to welcome the aircrafts of participants in the economic conference.

Egypt plans to offer some 50 projects valued at up to $35 billion at the international investment conference, according to officials, as the country looks to revive an economy battered by four years of unrest.

Some 1,700 international investors, executives, government officials, financiers and experts have registered to attend the three-day conference beginning March 13.
