The US currency has set all-time record against the Egyptian pound on Monday, nearing 7 Egyptian pounds level in banks and foreign exchange firms.
US dollar rose on Monday to EGP 6.9644 for buying and EGP 6.9945 for selling, compared to Sunday’s levels of EGP 6.9562 for buying and EGP 6.9863 for selling.
The increase in the US dollar’s prices coincides with the Egyptian Central Bank’s 56th offering worth US$ 40 million at FX auction on Monday.
