USAID Supports 29 Egypt Civil Societies to Invest in Entrepreneurship

During the last two years, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) had supported around 29 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Egypt in sectors of micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship, USAID’s Mission Director in Egypt Dr. Mary Ott said on Sunday.

On the sidelines of supporting entrepreneurship conference in Egypt held on Sunday, Dr. Ott stated that the Egyptian market is registering very high growth rates in terms of using internet recording 31 million users.

On the other hand, Ott referred that the number of e-commerce users in Egypt do not exceed 1%, adding that she expected that such a sector is likely to see higher growth rates within the upcoming phase.

Moreover, Ott pointed out that the U.S. government has great confidence in the Egyptian economy. She said the emerging markets are likely to witness an increase in growth and employment rates during the next phase.
