Vietnam’s foreign trade reached a new record of $578.47 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a 16.3 per cent increase year-on-year, with a trade surplus of $20.79 billion, according to the General Statistics Office.
Export revenue during this period amounted to $299.63 billion, up 15.4 per cent compared to the same period last year. Import revenue surged by 17.3 per cent to $278.84 billion.
Seven key items, including electronics, computers and components, telephones, textiles, garments, and footwear, accounted for 66.4 per cent of the total export turnover, exceeding $10 billion each.
