Vladimir Putin going to UAE, Saudi for important discussions
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will travel to the UAE and Saudi Arabia this week to hold “extremely important” discussions in both countries, said his aide, Yuriy Ushakov.
Although Ushakov didn’t specify the topics set to be discussed during the Russian president’s visits.
Putin is expected to meet with Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Saudi Arabia, Ushakov added.
The announcement came amid the OPEC+ states’ decision to lower oil production to an overall 2.2 million barrels per day in the first three months of next year.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia, a key oil exporter, is also expected to cut production by one million barrels per day; at the same time, Russia will decrease production to 500,000 barrels.
Furthermore, the UAE will bring down its production to 163,000, Iraq by 223,000, Kazakhstan by 82,000, Algeria by 51,000, and Oman by 42,000.
