Cairo Airport witnessed today two protests. The first protest was for the workers of “United Co.”, which supervise the parking, calling for joining Cairo International Airport. The second protest was for the white taxi drivers, who asked permission to market in the airport’s terminals.
Sources in the airport said that dozens of “United Co.” workers gathered in front of the airport’s terminals, meanwhile they were keening on the continuity of working in and outside the airport. The picketers called for joining Cairo International Airport, and getting their rights; social insurance and medical care.
Dozens of white taxi drivers, such as limousine and tourist drivers, protested in front of arrival terminals in order to receive permission for entering terminals as well to market amid passengers and the coming tourists. A number of the airport’s officials came to the protesters to hear their demands.
