3.6mn Tons Total Supplied Wheat from Egypt’s Farmers

The total quantities of domestic wheat which received from farmers and traders since the supply has been opened in Mid April reached around 3.6million tons till now, Khaled Hanafy, Egyptian Supply Minister asserted.

There is an increase in the quantities supplied by 40% from the same period last year, stressing that the price of wheat supply is EGP420 per ardebs, and that the price of a tonne of wheat is more expensive than the local supplier of imported counterpart with EGP800 the Minister noted.

In an exclusives, the Minister stressed that it is aiming receiving 4 million tons with 400.000tons in compared to the last year, noting that the strategic reserve of wheat is enough for the next 6 months.
