7 major real estate projects receive 2017 Cityscape Egypt Awards

Seven major real estate projects in Egypt have received Tuesday the 2017 Cityscape Egypt Awards featuring seven categories across sectors of; Commercial; Leisure and Hospitality; Community, Culture and Tourism; and Residential.

The awarding ceremony preceded the Cityscape Egypt exhibition, which will take place from March 31st until April 3rd at the Cairo International Convention Centre.

SODIC, Egypt’s third largest listed real estate developer, was announced as winner of two Cityscape’s awards. The company received the Community, Culture & Tourism Project Award for its Westown Medical Centre, with architect Mark El Katcha, and the Commercial Project Award for its office park The Polygon, with architect Wilkinson Eyre.

Serving as a prestigious platform to showcase future visions of urban communities in Egypt, the Cityscape Awards celebrate excellence in real estate development and architecture, by honouring design visionaries and forward-thinking leaders who are pioneering projects that are invigorating the country’s real estate sector.

Rooya Group for Real Estate Investment, Al Ahly for Real Estate Development, Palm Hills Development, Emaar Misr, and Misr Italia each had received Cityscape’s awards for this year.

Misr Italia has received the Residential – Low Rise Project Award –Future for its KAI Sokhna, which spans over 147,400 metres branching from the Red Sea, with architect Alchemy Studio.

Rooya Group for Real Estate Investment has obtained the Leisure & Hospitality Project Award – Built for its Telal Al-Alamein in North Coast, with architect Ökoplan Engineering Consultations. In addition, Cityscape awarded Emaar Misr the Leisure & Hospitality Project Award – Future for its Marassi in Al Alamein, with architect WATG.

Al Ahly for Real Estate Development has received the Residential – High Rise Project Award- Future for its L’avenir in Mostakbal City, in New Cairo, with architect Sabbour Consulting.

As for the seventh winner, Palm Hills obtained the Residential – Built Award for its Hacienda White project in North Coast, with architect Shehab Mazhar.
