The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) received 48 complaints against insurance companies and insurance funds in July, compared to 38 complaints in June. 62.5% of the complaints were against non-life insurance companies, 22.9% of which were against insurance funds, and 14.6% of which were against life insurance companies.
60% of complaints were raised against supplemental car insurance sectors and 23.3% of which were raised against compulsory car insurance sectors.
30 complaints were raised against non-life insurance companies, 11 complaints were raised against insurance funds and 7 complaints were raised against life insurance companies.
68 complaints were concluded in July; 44.1% of which were in favor of the customer, 47.1% of which were in favor of the company and 8.8% of which were dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
