Egypt’s trade with Italy hits $2.7 billion in 2018 – minister
Trade exchange between Egypt and Italy recorded $7.2 billion in 2018, Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar said on Wednesday.
Italy is one of Egypt’s most important trade partners not only on the European Union level but also on the global level, Nassar added.
This came during the opening of the second Egyptian-Italian Economic Forum, which is held in Cairo, according to Egypt Today.
The minister said the relations between Egypt and Italy are witnessing unprecedented development rates at the political, economic and commercial levels based on their full coordination and consensus on various regional issues and common challenges.
The partnership between Egypt and Italy is based on the businessmen of the two countries who play an active role in developing bilateral economic relations by investing in joint projects that stimulate the real growth of the economy and provide more job opportunities, he added.
?Egypt and Italy recently signed several bilateral agreements to push economic relations to distinct levels,” Nassar said.
