The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and the US hits $481.562 million during January 2020, against $634.443 million a year earlier decreasing by 24.1 percent, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The trade balance between the two countries is in US favour with $222.504 million.
US acquired 5.2 percent of the value of Egyptian exports during last January, as the value of its imports from Egypt amounted to about $129.529 million, compared to $132.775 million during the same month of 2019, declining 2.4 percent.
While, it captured 6.6 percent of the value of Egyptian imports during January 2020, as the value of its exports to Egypt reached about $352.033 million , compared to $501.668 million during the same month last year, with a decline of 29.8 percent.
