New electricity prices to be applied in Egypt in July – ministry

Egypt’s electricity ministry is set to announce in a press conference in Cairo on Tuesday the new rates for electricity bills to be applied in July.

The new rates are expected to be the penultimate phase of slashing electricity subsidies.

Egypt had announced that it has postponed the final lifting of electricity subsidies from the 2018-2019 fiscal year to the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
