Egypt supports tourism, aviation sectors with EGP 5bn during COVID19 crisis

The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, said that the country supported the tourism and aviation sectors with 5 billion Egyptian pounds during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

During his speech to the House of Representatives, Madbouly revealed that the government managed to protect citizens during the economic downturn resulted from the pandemic.

The PM expects the country to achieve self-sufficiency in petroleum products by 2023, noting that no petroleum products will be imported next year.

Egypt’s newly-seated House of Representatives had summoned on Sunday the prime minister and other ministers to answer questions on the government’s ‘Egypt Kicks Off’ programme.

PM Madbouly is delivering a statement and answering questions from MPs on the government’s policy program.
