Egypt’s stocks close mostly higher, benchmark EGX 30 rises 0.06% on Tuesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended trading almost higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index growing 0.06 percent to 11,534 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.65 percent to 2,417 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dipped 0.03 percent to 14,215 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 added 0.63 percent to 3,453 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced 0.60 percent to 2,413 points.

Total market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted gains worth 1.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($70.4 million) to close at 706.6 billion pounds buoyed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached 3.9 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 468.533 million securities executed 47,172 transactions.
