Egypt’s stocks move higher on Sunday, benchmark EGX 30 advances 0.40%

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index inching up 0.40 percent to 11,426 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 1.77 percent to 2,392 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 0.32 percent to 14,093 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also edged higher by 1.37 percent to 3,420 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 rose 0.91 percent to 2,383 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has on Sunday made profits worth 4.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($275 million) to close at 701.479 billion pounds.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached 3.03 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 654.729 million securities executed 42,992 transactions.
