Egypt’s stocks close higher on Monday, benchmark EGX 30 climbs 1.09%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index surging 1.09 percent to 11,550 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) advanced 0.55 percent to 2,405 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced 0.91 percent to 14,221 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 also went up 0.49 percent to 3,437 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 hiked 0.70 percent to 2,400 points.

Total market capitalisation has on Monday posted gains worth 4.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($306 million) to close at 706.296 billion pounds.

Trading value has approximately reached 3.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 776.678 million securities executed 50,271 transactions.
