Egypt’s stocks start new week mostly higher, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.25%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed mostly higher on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index increasing 0.25 percent to 10,305 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.23 percent to 2,334 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 0.14 percent to 12,895 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 gained 0.17 percent to 3,302 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 went down 0.38 percent to 2,193 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Sunday posted gains worth around 2.8 billion Egyptian pounds ($178.5 million), ending the trading at 654.324 billion pounds buoyed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 3.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 388.407 million securities executed 44,814 transactions.
