Sisi, Biden discuss cooperation between two countries

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met the U.S. President Joe Biden on Saturday and discussed cooperation between the two countries, the implications of the global food crisis, and the disruption of energy supplies, according to an official statement.

Egypt-U.S. partnership aims in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East region, Egyptian presidency stated.

al-Sisi stressed the need to help regional countries through crises and reach a comprehensive solution that pledges the rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their independent state, the statement added.

According to the disputed Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam the al-Sisi demanded to reach a legally binding agreement for the filling process and operating the dam.

It preserves Egyptian water security and achieves the common interests of all the three countries (Egypt, Sudan, and U.S.).

Sisi and Biden met in the Saudi Arabia, as they also participated in a joint conference with the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states, Jordanian King and the Iraqi Prime Minister.
